Instructions
  1. Measure fabric to fit height and circumference of pail
. Get a little extra just to have a little wiggle room when adhering it to the pail.
  2. Cover all areas of pail that doesn’t need spray adhesive with painter’s tape or newspaper (use indentations on side of pail as guide) then lightly spray pail with adhesive.
  3. Apply fabric all around smoothing with hands and removing any bubbles as you go. Do small sections at a time so as not be overwhelmed with spray adhesive. You can always fix the fabric if it lays down wrong.
  4. Turn fabric under at edge to create a finished seam then trim excess fabric along tape line. Remove paper and tape.
  5. Apply layer of decoupage glue to fabric. Allow it to dry, then sand lightly. Repeat this process of gluing and sanding 3 more times.
  6. Glue rope or twine along top and bottom edge of fabric with glue gun once fabric is dry.
  7. Sand wood plaque lightly to smooth any rough edges then apply 2–3 coats of chalkboard paint. Once dry, adhere chalkboard sign to pail using glue gun.
