August is National Peach Month and absolutely the best time of year to sink your teeth into this sweet, juicy and succulent fruit.

Did you know peach trees are actually native to China and a member of the rose family? Totally true! Today the peach is easily grown from seed in temperate climates all over the world, and the US grows about 5% of the world’s supply.

Packed with vitamin C, potassium and fiber, there is nothing like ripe peach juice running down your chin.

In celebration of National Peach Month, we decided to prepare peaches in as many ways as we could think of—in salads, desserts, snacks, you name it! So if you love peaches as much as we do, you should definitely try these easy fresh peach recipes.

1. Arugula salad with peaches and walnuts

Simple and seasonal

The best kinds of salads, in our opinion, are those that pair sweet and savory flavors resulting in unexpectedly delicious combinations. Try pairing peppery arugula, sweet peaches and salty goat cheese topped with walnuts—you won’t be sorry!

2. Peach granita

Wanna granita?

We like to think of our yummy peach granitas as a fun adult version of a snow cone or slushy. Made with sugar, water, fresh peaches and smooth, sweet tasting rum, this semi-frozen dessert cocktail is the perfect topper to a summer cookout or a hard day at the beach.

S’more please!

S’mores are a campfire treat classic, but have you ever tried s’meaches? They have all the same building blocks as your traditional s’more—chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers—but we added peaches to the mix with exceptional results. Major yum!

Peachy punch

Traditional Sangria is made with red wine, but to beat the August heat we went with white wine instead when blending our totally delish and refreshing peach sangria. A little bit of ginger ale adds some delightful fizz to this gorgeous concoction, which begs to be shown off in clear glassware.
