  • Sift the powdered sugar directly into the bowl of a stand mixer. Add the butter and mix on low for 1 minute to combine. Turn the speed to high and whip for 3 minutes. Add the vanilla and 2 Tbsp cream and mix for 1 more minute. Add more cream if necessary.

Notes

If you like your frosting even more flavorful, try a combination of 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp of almond extract instead. This will also make your frosting more fragrant!
