Homemade mint extract is easy to make and less expensive than store-bought mint extract.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch peppermint leaves
  • 1 cup vodka good-quality

Instructions

  • Chop mint leaves and add to a clean glass jar.
  • Cover mint completely with vodka.
  • Seal tightly and leave in a cool dark place for 8–12 weeks, shaking occasionally.
  • Strain and store the extract in an airtight container indefinitely.

Notes

Make sure the leaves are completely submerged to prevent the leaves from molding!
