Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place a fresh sheet of parchment on the counter—this is where you’ll place the finished pops to let them set. Slide 1 marshmallow onto the end of each lollipop stick, making sure to twist the stick inside the marshmallow. This action will help to adhere the inside of the marshmallow to the stick. Set aside.
  • Warm candy melts in the microwave according to package directions. Meanwhile, pour sanding sugar into a shallow dish then set aside. Dip each marshmallow pop into melted candy coating, taking care to coat the entire surface of the marshmallow—we spooned the candy over the marshmallow to ensure the marshmallow was covered completely. Let excess candy drip off and form a smooth coating.
  • To make the hair, dip the top side of the marshmallow pop into black sanding sugar before the chocolate sets. Tilt the pop slightly to let sugar come slightly down the side of the marshmallow. Choose the best side of the marshmallow to create the ‘Frankie’ face then place the pop on parchment paper with the best side facing up. Place eyes on the pop while the candy coating is still wet, repeating the process with remaining pops.
  • Let the candy melts rest for several minutes so they can set completely. Once candy coating is dry, dip an unused lollipop stick or toothpick in remaining candy coating then place a little drop on the face to form a nose. Use tube of gel icing to pipe on facial features, such as eyebrows, a mouth and scars. Once everything has set, these little monsters are ready to be devoured! Enjoy!
