Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly coat a 2-qt casserole dish with cooking spray then place salmon filets skin side down, spaced evenly apart.
Whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh lemon juice, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds and crushed red pepper together until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour sauce over salmon filets.
Bake salmon 18–24 minutes, depending on thickness and desired level of doneness. Baste salmon with sauce several times throughout the baking process.
Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes while spooning sauce over salmon until nicely coated. Serve with plenty of steamed rice and additional sauce on the side.

To make things even easier and less messy at home, ask the butcher at the grocery store to skin and portion your salmon so it’s all ready to go.
