Ingredients

  • 2 cups bottled water or filtered water
  • 1 1/2 cups peach slices
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 3 cups ice

Instructions

  • Place water, peaches, and sugar in medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, let simmer 5 minutes then cool completely in refrigerator.
  • Add ice to blender. Pour cooled peach mixture into blender. Add rum and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Notes

Using alcohol in the recipe will make your granita less firm than a traditional, non-alcoholic version. One will require a spoon, the other a straw.
