Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper finely-ground
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon or beef bouillon, granules or crushed cubes
  • 1/8 - 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper optional

Instructions

  • Add first 6 spices to a small bowl and stir to combine. Place dried oregano leaves in the palm of your hand, rub the leaves firmly to grind them into a fine powder then add to spice mixture.
  • Season to taste with cayenne pepper if desired. Store spice mix in an airtight container and use within 4–6 months.

Notes

Completely out of bouillon? Substitute with 1 tsp of salt. You’ll miss out on some flavor but it’ll save you a trip to the store.
