Arrange watermelon in a single layer in a large baking dish. Bring sugar, water, jalapeno, basil, tequila and triple sec to a boil in a saucepan. Cook for about 1 minute until sugar dissolves. Let cool then pour syrup over watermelon wedges and refrigerate for 45 minutes–1 hour.
Remove watermelon from syrup and arrange on a platter. Enjoy!

For an extra special touch, have some coarse sea salt nearby so guests can sprinkle their watermelon wedge with a savory punch!
