‘Star Trek’ fans unite with our Mr. Spock punch recipe, dedicated to the celebration of the life of iconic screen legend Leonard Nimoy. This cocktail is bright green, in honor of Vulcan Science Officer Spock’s blood color.

As the story goes, Spock’s blood color is green because the oxidizing agent in Vulcan blood is copper, not iron, as it is in humans. Copper oxide gave Spock’s blood its blue-green hue.

This recipe is definitely on the sweet side, but it’s easy to modify if you want to go lean. We used unsweetened pineapple juice, and you can also swap the ginger ale or citrus soda for club soda if you’re watching your waistline.

Make an adult version of this non-alcoholic beverage using a little liquor to toast an extraordinary man—simply add a cup of vodka to the mixture before placing it in the freezer.

Two glasses of Mr. Spock Punch, a tribute drink to the iconic Leonard Nimoy.
