Copycat Popeye’s Blackened Chicken Tenders
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 lbs chicken tenderloins
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until combined.
- Lightly brush each side of the chicken tenders with a little bit of olive oil, then coat each side with the seasoning.
- Bake for 8 minutes, then flip and bake another 8 minutes. Broil for 2-3 minutes to achieve that "blackened" finish.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
