  • mortar and pestle
  • herbs and fruit

  • Place herb leaves or fruit in a mortar and use the pestle to press gently down on them. You are trying to release the oils, not demolish them. When you can smell a fresh aroma, they’re muddled.
  • Add freshly muddled herbs or fruit to a cocktail or recipe and enjoy!

If you do not own a mortar and pestle, simply use a bowl and a wooden spoon!
