Kielbasa and Cabbage Stir Fry

+You can substitute any other sausage you prefer in this dish. You may just need to dial up your seasonings if you’re using a more mild option.
+ If you want to add a bit more volume to this meal, you could serve it over some steamed rice or even cauliflower rice.
Kielbasa and Cabbage Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 16 oz beef kielbasa sausage links, sliced
- 1 medium head green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large pot or skillet over medium heat. When the oil is heated, add the onion and pepper. Saute until softened but still firm, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and saute another minute, until fragrant.
- Add the sausage and saute about 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cabbage and remaining ingredients and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as desired. Serve by itself or over steamed rice.
