Red Wine Vinaigrette Dressing
By now, you must know that red wine is actually good for you. Why not make it part of your diet with a homemade red wine vinaigrette dressing?
Our dressing recipe turns an ordinary salad into a super healthy one with all the benefits that red wine has to offer. As the key ingredient, red wine vinegar contains acetic acid to help control blood sugar levels, potassium for low blood pressure, and helps absorb calcium.
Red wine vinaigrette can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Of course, it’s so good don’t expect it to last that long!
Red Wine Vinaigrette Recipe
Our easy homemade red wine vinaigrette dressing recipe turns an ordinary salad into a super-healthy one with all the benefits that red wine has to offer.
Ingredients
Yield: 20 tablespoons
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp green onions, finely minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 cup oil
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked pepper
Instructions
- Place vinegar, green onion, garlic, mustard and honey into medium mixing bowl and whisk until combined.
- Slowly pour in oil while whisking until all oil is incorporated. Add oregano, salt and pepper and whisk until salt is dissolved.
- Place in resealable container and refrigerate for at least one hour. Shake or whisk ingredients to emulsify before serving.
Notes
Put your own twist on our recipe by replacing the oregano with an herb of your choice.
