When we thought this salad couldn’t get any sexier, our homemade balsamic salad dressing came out of the test kitchen and the flavor turned out to be a total knockout! If you’re timid towards balsamic, this is a must-try—boiling down the balsamic over heat and adding the sweet-tasting element of honey to the dressing makes the favor mild yet full-bodied without packing too much of a punch.

Instructions

  • Heat the balsamic vinegar and honey in a small pan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes to slightly thicken and reduce. Pour into a bowl and put in a warm place. It will get too stiff to pour if it gets cold.
  • Arrange the spinach, chicken slices, strawberries and walnut halves on individual plates or in a serving bowl. Drizzle the balsamic dressing over all and enjoy!
