apple cider cocktail

We love a festive holiday cocktail here at Everyday Dishes. We have some tried and true staples like our Fizzy Cranberry Orange Vodka cocktail, Holiday Sangria, and even an Eggnog Martini. But what we really wanted now was whiskey cocktail that would hold up well at any “friendsgiving” event. Enter our new Apple Cider Whiskey Punch. It’s such a great Thanksgiving cocktail featuring flavors of apple, cranberry, and orange – with a kick thanks to the whiskey!

We love this cocktail served in a coupe glass. This shape works well because you don’t need any ice – as long as the juice is cool when you blend it all together. Or, you can simply make it ahead of time in a big pitcher and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.
(See our note about waiting on the sparkling water below if you choose to make it ahead of time.)

Apple Cider Whiskey Punch Recipe Tips:

+ Don’t have Apple Pie Spice? No problem! Make your own mix with this easy recipe using spices you probably already have in the pantry.

+ If you make this cocktail ahead of time, make sure you hold off on adding the sparkling water until you pour the cocktail so it doesn’t taste flat or watered down. You can also skip the sparkling water for a stronger drink.

+ Apple slices and cinnamon sticks are the perfect topping for this punch, but we also love the look of dried fruit floating in a cocktail. Learn how to make your own dried fruit here. Orange slices are so pretty and hint to the orange juice in the cocktail.
